11/23/2019 0 Comments Week of: November 25-26For this short week, we will work on Thanksgiving math activities that review the 5th grade math concepts they've learned so far and introduce them to concepts we'll learn later this year. In reading we'll continue our fantasy genre novel studies. We'll also practice our newly-learned skill of annotating texts during close reading with Thanksgiving reading passages. In science, the students have learned all about the seven processes in water cycle and will be writing and illustrating short graphic novels called "My Life as a Drip." On Tuesday we have the privilege of attending the WIU women's basketball game at 11am with the other schools from the area. The students will sing the National Anthem. Please wear purple and gold. Lunch will be provided by WIU. Don't forget that the 2nd quarter Book Project is due after break on December 4. Highlights from last week:
I am one very blessed teacher to have the privilege of teaching these incredible kiddos. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
